About Biography Resource Center:
The Biography Resource Center is a comprehensive database
of biographical information on nearly 220,000 people from throughout history,
around the world and across all disciplines and subject areas. It combines
more than 330,000 biographies from respected Gale sources such as Contemporary
Authors, Encyclopedia of World Biography, Newsmakers, Contemporary Theatre,
Film, and Television, Contemporary Musicians, Historic World Leaders,
Notable Twentieth-Century Scientists, Contemporary Black Biography, Religious
Leaders of America, International Dictionary of Art and Artists, Writers
Directory and many more.
Am I eligible for Biography Resource Center?
This Web site is for individuals already appearing in the Biography
Resource Center. We are not accepting new submissions for inclusion
at this time. Please contact us through this site if you are currently
listed and one of your Gale entries has incorrect and/or
outdated information.
Please be advised: While we can update and make corrections to
sources published by Gale, there are some sources included in Biography Resource Center
that we have licensed from other publishers. Contractual agreements and
copyright laws prohibit Gale from making any changes to content from these
sources. They are the following:
- Any Carroll's Directory titles
- Debrett's People of Today
- Dictionary of American Biography
- Magazine and newspaper articles
- Any Marquis Who's Who® titles

How soon will my update be seen in Biography Resource Center?
New and updated material is added to the product twice a month; new and
updated periodical content is added daily. Major awards, major literary
works, major newsworthy events or career-related events will be added
to all related essays when applicable. In addition, Web sites will be
verified/modified. Content updates and appropriateness are at the discretion
of Gale editors.
We will make every effort to include your updated material as soon as
possible, however, this depends on the volume of mail received each month.
